  • Recipe inspiration

    Ingredients (serves 4):

    • olive oil
    • 1 onion
    • 1 packet of ready rolled flaky pastry
    • bunch of english asparagus
    • 1 egg
    • 250 g bue cheese of choice
    • salt and black pepper to taste

    Method:

    Slice and soften the onion in olive oil, roll out the pastry onto an oven tray and bush with the lightly beaten egg.  score a 1,5 cm egde and pierce the middle with a fork to stop it from raising in the middle. Bake for 10 mins at 180ºC.

    In the meantime blanch the asparagus for 4 mins in hot water and drain.

    Spread the softened onion on top of the pre-baked pastry season with salt and pepper, arrange the Asparagus on top and crumble the blue cheese of your choice on top, then bake for a further 5 mins.
